Fall Bonsai Show November 11 & 12, 2023

Come and join us for the Annual Louisiana Bonsai Society Fall Show at the Baton Rouge Garden Center, 7950 Independence Blvd., Baton Rouge, on Saturday November 12th and 13th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. There will be starter trees available, tree raffles, and a lecture/demo both days at 2 p.m.

Jim Doyle Workshop October 18 & 19, 2023

Jim Doyle lecture demo on Wednesday evening 6-9 pm , and 2 BYOT workshops--9am-12 pm, 1pm-4pm at the Baton Rouge Garden Center. Cost is $35 per member. Notify Lowell if you'd like to participate.

Mike Lane Workshop June 23rd, 2023

Mike Lane will hold a special Friday evening BYOT workshop from 6-9 pm at the Baton Rouge Garden Center. Cost is $35 for members.

Bonsai Spring Show March 18 & 19, 2023

We will hold our annual Spring Show on March 18, 19 at the Baton Rouge Garden Center from 11 am-4 pm both days. Members will display some of their finest trees from their collections. A lecture/demo will be held each day at 2 pm. Raffles and a few starter trees will be available.

2020 Fall Bonsai Show

The Louisiana Bonsai Society presented the annual Fall Bonsai Show November 14 & 15 from 11am-4pm at the Baton Rouge Garden Center, 7950 Independence Blvd. Club members brought many wonderful bonsai whose photos can be viewed in the Photo Gallery. We had a large number of visitors to the show despite pandemic restrictions. Mike Lane (Wigert's Bonsai Nursery, Ft. Myers, FL) gave a lecture demo on Saturday with this great cedar elm. It will be raffled off in January 2021 at the Mid-Winter Workshop. LBS VP Robert Reed gave a lecture demo on Sunday on creating a 3 juniper rock planting with a lace rock he purchased from Brussel's Bonsai Nursery. Many thanks for the fine demonstrations.
